Elite Athletes & Families

The financial decisions made in your twenties and thirties shape every chapter that follows.

Every advisor wants a meeting with you. Most want to sell you something. You've heard the pitches, and the cautionary tales of players who earned millions and ended up with nothing. You need an advisor who understands your contract, deferred comp, and endorsements, and knows retirement starts at thirty-five, not sixty-five. Let's build a plan as smart as your contract, and as steady as your future.

We Are Already Trusted Partners Of Many Athletes

Being from Louisiana, there is no shortage of world class talent right here in our back yard. For decades, we have been rooting them on, but also serving many of them as their trusted financial guide as they navigate recruiting, professional contracts, and retiring from their sport and finding their next challenge.

Working with athletes brings unique challenges, but that also means that we can make a big impact on their futures, which is the most rewarding of all.

We believe that wisdom from lived experience can help shape futures like no other. And there aren't that many people who can say that they know what it is like to be an athlete at the highest level.

The mental and physical toughness to push through pain and adversity. The long travel days away from your families. The contract negotiations with organizations, brands, and other stakeholders. The fears of losing it all in an instant. It's real. Do you have someone in your corner who knows what it's like in your shoes?

Meet Brandon Wilson. He spent 7 years in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts. Now, he's teaming up with WFA to bring athletes the opportunity to work with a fully-vetted team of Advisors who have been on both sides of the game.

A Brighter Future

Imagine the day your playing career ends and the rest of your life is already funded.

You're thirty-five, or forty, or forty-five. The contracts are behind you. The endorsement deals have run their course. And the plan you built when you were twenty-six is doing exactly what it was designed to do: paying for the home, the family, the second act, and the freedom to choose whatever comes next. The next chapter, whether it is broadcasting, business, coaching, philanthropy, or rest, is funded by the discipline of the years that came before. You don't have to be the cautionary tale. An elite career can be the foundation for an elite life, on and off the field when the plan behind it holds up.

Common Questions

What we hear most often

A large contract comes with a tax picture most people never face. We plan for it up front, coordinating compensation, timing, and multi-state considerations so the number that lands in your account is one you've already planned around.
We help you build room for generosity into the plan itself, so saying yes to the people and causes you care about doesn't mean saying no to your own future.
That shift is something we plan for from day one, not something that catches you off guard. We build the transition from active income to a portfolio designed to support you long after the playing days end.
There's no universal answer. We look at your full picture, contract structure, risk tolerance, and timeline, and help you weigh opportunities against the value of staying liquid.
We build reserves and structure your plan with that risk in mind from the start, so a single injury changes a game, not the trajectory of your financial life.
That's the picture we start painting years before it arrives. Our job is to make sure the answer is already funded by the time you're asking the question in real life.

The day your playing career ends and the rest of your life is already funded. That's the outcome every part of this plan is built toward.
